Yvette Higgins is a Minneapolis based ceramic artist whose work is often inspired by her Middle Eastern heritage. Because she has never been able to visit her family in Syria and Lebanon, she uses art to feel closer to her roots.

Yvette is an honors student at the University of Minnesota seeking a dual degree in art and journalism. She is a teaching assistant for the introductory ceramics course, president of the university’s clay club, and a handbuilding and wheel-throwing teacher for kids summer classes at the Northern Clay Center. Her work can be found for sale at Mother Earth Gardens.
